I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We had more kids come to our door tonight then we have in the past 4 years combined!!! Ofcourse the only treat Ella got tonight was a bottle of milk and a warm bath. We tried placing her in the pumpkin because Ben thought it would make a great pic but we soon realized that there was no way for Ella to sit in it by herself. Plus this mini photoshot was a stressfull one since the ground was still wet, and Ella was telling us it was time for some more food. Overall things are going well here. The weather has been really pleasant. Chilly and sometimes cold in the mornings and evenings and low 70's mid-day. Ella has been eating well for the most part. On Thursday she weighed in at 8lbs 2 oz. But she is definatly a slow eater. Doesn't matter if she is on the bottle or breast. She likes to take her time. It's odd that Ben and I would be the parents of a slow eater since our dinner table seems like a food eating contest. Anyways we are slowly getting to a schedule. Getting any chores done in the house are challenging since Ella eats so slow, and is fussy most days that she is awake. She is very paticular, and lets you know immediatly what she dislikes. Right now her favorite place in the house is the swing. She loves to sit and look at the mobile and often falls asleep in the chair. But since its downstairs it gives me little to do. I tried moving her upstairs during her nap so I could take a shower and have her near but I only got half way through the shower before she woke up and realized she wasn't in her chair anymore. Oh well. Who needs to get dressed and take a shower anyways? ;)
You and Ella look great. I miss you both so bad. So happy with Ella's weight gain. She is just so beautiful and was alert already at the two-three week stage while I was there. You and Ben are great parents. Love you
ReplyDeleteBen's idea of placing Ella in a pumpkin was cute. Maybe try next Halloween. She is Grandma's pumpkin for sure.
ReplyDeleteCute posting the pix of me with Ella's pee on me. No problem, I loved the changing diapers and getting peed on. I loved being there and spending that time with Ella and my Alyssa. Not to leave Ben and Bax out either. Love those two guys. The new Dad is taking the change like a champ and just adores his two girls. It all makes me happy and smile. For a vacation it will always be where my family is.
ReplyDeleteShes soo tiny and adorable. I was looking forward to the pumpkin pic but the ones you took are cute! Love you guys
