Brew tour.

Last weekend Ben and I decided to get out of town for a quick getaway. So we visited Chico, CA. The home of my favorite brewery. This little trip was more for me I guess since I'm a junky for artisan food and well crafted beer. We ate at their restaurant and tasted all the beers that they offer through out the year and some that they only serve at the Tap house. I had the best pizza ever created, topped with filet mignon, blue cheese, thinly sliced potatoes, and fried red onions. Ben had a hamburger that he said "tasted like just a hamburger" and Ella had some cheese pizza. There were no complaints from her throughout the meal so it must have been good. After eating and drinking we took the self guided tour and made a quick stop by the gift shop. We had a relaxing day. I'm sort of glad we don't live closer. I would have to get a job at the brewery. More pics to come of day 2 of our trip.

Mmm...beer!

Meet the newest Roeber

Brielle Rose Roeber was born August 26th at 4:33 am.
I was Honored to be able to share in their birth experience.  Mom and dad did great.
I can't wait to see this cutie again.

P.S.  We ate the pizza on Sunday and these pics were taken on Friday so I don't think you can credit the pizza for this birth.  Brielle choose her own birthday. But it was a tasty pizza.

Preggo pizza

Last Sunday we met the Roeber family out for dinner. We went to a pizza parlor that is know for inducing labor in many full term pregnancies. The pizza is called The Preggo Pizza and it said that with in hours of eating it women start showing signs of labor. So here is the pizza, the Preggo herself eating it, and the last picture I would take with Amy before she went into labor.

It's beginning......

The change of season that is. I know some of you in FL and in the Midwest will be slightly jealous since you are dealing with some hot and sticky weather but I'm sad that summer will be over soon. Seems like it just started to get warm and now the trees are changing colors and it's just a tad bit chilly in the late afternoon/evening. The days are so beautiful lately. We haven't need our A/C in at least two weeks. It's just so amazing to me that it's the middle of August and it's cool enough to leave the windows open. We are in for a shocking change when we land in Tampa with temps in the 90's with 80-90% humidity. It will be a nice farewell to summer.

Ella and Baxter

Last weekend we let Ella play with her finger paints outside. We had the kiddie pool all ready to throw her in and give her a good scrubbing after the mess( which was not as bad as I thought). Baxter also needed a bath so we got him in with Ella and saved alot if time. Ella seemed to enjoy the company.

Acting like mommy.

I looked up from the computer and I saw that Ella had put my shoes on and was walking her baby around the house in the stroller.

Yes... More pics

Last Thursday was Coast Guard day on CG island. Happy 221st birthday Coast guard! To celebrate they had a big fair on base. Games, rides, food , cars, bounce house, petting zoo, music and a "beer garden". Which ofcourse we visited during lunch. We had a lot of fun. The CG went all out this year. Ella had a ton of fun when she wasn't running away from the carnies or getting chewed on by a baby goat. Overall We loved the petting zoo. In fact I don't know who had more fun, the kids or the parents.

I can't wait!!!

I found this pic online and it totally makes me homesick! I can't wait to go home for a week and lay out, and play in the Siesta key sand. And most of all experience some FL thunderstorms. September can't come fast enough!!!!!

Our Sunday picnic.

Lately we have not be the most adventurous family. For those of you who don't know Ben re-herniated the same disc in his lumbar spine that was repaired just a couple of years ago. So we have been sticking close to the house. Normally we go for bike rides as a family or go hiking but due to Bens pain we have been a little inactive.

So on Sunday we decided that we needed to get out of the house and do some thing different. We drove to the top of Mt. Diablo and had a picnic.

It's beautiful from the top but it sure does make me car sick to drive up the Mt and around those curvy roads. We always talk about hiking there but sometimes I can't stomach the thought of the car ride up. So needless to say I was thankful when we found our picnic site that overlooked the Trivalley area.
